At the time I was considering an effects processor, I looked at the POD but went with the GT6 instead. I have not tried it out with my 1127-4 yet but will when I get my new sound hole pickup. As for an Acoustic Guitar Processor...take a look at the Boss AD8. Boss AD8 Take a look at this link for other ideas: Acoustic Guitar Effects Hope this helps you on your processin' way!

It works fine with my 335 style Epi & really doesn't sound too bad with my O's, but the effects in my Shen. Jr. sound better. I'm hoping the 504 II will be better yet & more user friendly than either of the others. The 505 is a bit of a pita to program, although I only had to do it once. The effects knob on the S.J. are hard for my old eyeballs to read. I'm hoping the new 504 II will be easier to program, read & change on the fly. /\/\/

Stay away from high gain tube amp models & keep the input gain & drive controls low & you should be able to get a vaguely acceptable sound. Generally multi-effects units or amp modellers designed for electric guitars involve a lot of compromise when used with acoustic guitars & it's not something I would reccommend if you are looking for a natural & accurate acoustic tone.

The Zoom is intriguing since it is relatively cheap. Nils, I would be interested to hear how you like your 504II when you get it. I know Paul T. likes the Boss AD-5 alot. I would love to find a store that had all these devices that I could try out with my set-up. It would be nice to hear other comments from people that are running O's through these various modelers. At this point, I'm planning to buy the POD and use it with my Viper. But I'll also play around with my acoustic-electric O's to see if there is any fun to be had. I just won't get my hopes up for the acoustic-electric. Jim

They had a board with all the Boss pedals chained in line. You could turn one on and check it out. Surely some large music store in your area has the same set up. I bought a Boss Blues Driver to use with my semi hollowbody and acoustic amp. I think it is going to work fine, but that baby is LOUD! I am still tweaking it to fine tune it. Maybe some more experienced electric players can offer advice. Noel
