Joined: August 2003 Posts: 888 Location: Louisville, OH 44641 | I'm new at guitar and found lessons weren't enough to really provide me with all the learning I was craving, so I started a guitar club in the small Ohio town where I live. For better or worse, we're simply called the Louisville Guitar Group. We play at some of the local cafes and are always looking for new music. I'd like to take a different approach to the top 5 (now that I know which songs to avoid): What are your top 5 favorite "singable" guitar songs.

One song comes to mind for your guitar group: "Bluebird" by Buffalo Springfield.

These are songs almost everyone knows (at least all us old round-bellied codgers). I'll bet if they ever find life on Mars and if they play guitars they'll know these tunes. Other universally accepted acoustic songs: Take it Easy - Eagles Wild Horses - Rolling Stones Wonderful Tonight – Clapton Country Roads – John Denver Margarita ville (see the other “5 most post”) Disclaimer: I cannot be held responsible for damages whether intentional or accidental arising from appropriate or indirect use or misuse of these songs. Test on a small inconspicuous color-fast area before using. Clear the area of children and pets and cover fish ponds with an impermeable barrier before use. Do not use while showering or bathing. The performance quality and audience reaction to these songs may vary form artist to artist.
