Hey guys...
This looks like a good deal, if you want a project or parts...

Could it be worth sending to the Mothership to repair? I might be interested in a Pacemaker if it was.

btw, the pic on the Ovation site shows a volume knob, yet says the 1115 has no electronics? What guitar is shown in the picture?

I thought about this overnight and had decided to "buy it now". For one thing I need a case for my 1613. All of a sudden the buy it now is gone. Hiow does this happen?

On a 'buy it now' with no reserve, the 'buy it now' disappears on the first bid. If there's a reserve, it disappears when reserve is met.

When it's part of an auction-style listing, the Buy It Now option is only shown on listings until an item receives its first bid, or, for a Reserve Price Auction, when the reserve is met. This means that when you see an item has both a Buy It Now price and a first bid price listed, you will need to act quickly!

I came in too late for this one. What was the BIN price?

That's definitely a cool offer. If someone from this board buys it, I would love to see the finished guitar after the repairs are made.

Woody,
It was either $85 or $89.
Guess I will just have to enter the bidding.
Waskel, thanks for the explanation. I had seen that happen before, but not on something I was interested in, so never ask.

Another question;
Here is part of the sellers answer to someones question,
"Buy it Now was 89.99. If offer goes over that, guitar goes with case. Can't sell earlier but will sell later if it gets left behind."

If someone makes a "highest bid" over the $89.99, but the bidding stops at $87.00, the seller will not know that person has made a higher bid. At the end of the auction, the seller says, "For $87 you get the case but not the guitar, the buyer says, "But I had a highest bid for more, but no one bumped it up over the $89.99." "The seller could then say, "I don't know that and you are just trying to get the guitar for a few dollars more."
Granted, I have not bought much off of ebay and the above may not be the way it would work.
Someone enlighten me.

There is the hard/fast just the facts kind of Seller and there are some real cool people out there. Many times I received a little extra veneer or an aditional Ovation Catalog.

I did let the Seller know that I was interested in the guitar if it didn't go and asked what the BIN was. If they responded it is on my home email and I'll see it later.

I am considering bidding $90-$95 but not any further. I don't need it like I needed the Viper Project with the cool chrome bridge that went just outside my comfort zone the other day!

You could always sell the case and tuners and recap your losses.

One thing guys...
The guitar came free only if "Buy It Now" is used - at least that's what the auction ad says. I would email him before bidding to see if has changed his mind.
