For what it's worth, both the buyers that fought over it are from the U.S.(?????).....

This HAS to be a new scam somehow, probably involving currency exchange and targeting eBay possibly.
I don't know enough about currency exchange to figure it out, but I know when something smells awfully rotten. Why would a suspicious transaction between US parties ocurr on German eBay?
