Not sure if this has been posted before.  Twin Ovations, a young Vince Gill with long hair and beard, and a great song.

Love the song.

The “feedback” solution applied to the guitars looks a little adhoc.

Hello, Everyone,
I saw this last week, but I forgot how to put the link up? Oops. It was/is the first time I saw ANYONE, let alone Vince Gill?, use duct tape on an Ovation! Freaked me green, for sure. Being Canadian, and a Red Green follower not withstanding, I found it somewhat cringeworthy, I must say. Did others do this back in the day? I never had any problems with feedback on my older ( c.1977) Custom Balladeer 1612-4 center sound hole guitar, but then again, I'm no Vince Gill by any stretch of the imagination, either. Just sayin'.

Large venues, high-powered PA, floor monitors = feedback. Weren't a lot of commercially available soundhole options in the 70's. It was likely gaffers tape. May have even been just an issue with that particular venue.

First stadium I ever played I got in a feedback loop with my Adamas and a wedge monitor... thought the top was going to blow off. Finally had the sound guy turn my monitor completely off. Went home and worked on some felt covers that could be attached as needed from the inside with velcro. (The rubber hole plugs had not been introduced yet.)

And... I'm a big Red Green fan as well!

I think I would have opted for maybe fitting some smooth black fabric or something more aesthetically pleasing.. but I guess ya gotta do what ya gotta do with what ya got at the time.

We did not use tape against feedback but put some clothes in the guitar, worked fine.

Hello, Everyone,
About 2 weeks ago, on my cable TV, one of the radio stations showed what looked to be Ovation Elite / Adamas sound holes as an Andre Kostelanetz album cover? Not the entire guitar, but only just the sound holes, mind you, which were black, and the rest of the album cover was purple?, as in Barney The Dinosaur! One of the strangest album covers I've seen in a long time, and who knows what the graphic designer was thinking? Correct me if I'm wrong here, OFC people, but Andre Kostelanetz was/is not a guitar player.
