I just wonder what things would have looked like (worse, better or same) had DW bought Guild and Cordoba had bought Ovation. In either case it could have never been what it once was. Maybe I'm jaded, but for me those damn New Hartford built Guild guitars were some of the best acoustics I've owned and at stupid cheap prices (thank you ALPEP). Sigh ... Isn't that called "business as usual" ??? Hey, don't get me wrong I wasn't diss'in on DW at all. I just saw that video and wondered what it would look like if every mention of the world Guild was replaced by the name Ovation. I think DW has done a good job with the eye-candy and putting out guitars that are "visually" appealing. I hope they are moving a ton of them, plus a few onesie-twosie Adamas guitars which look to be pretty nice. I just hope there is a viable audience out there and that DW can figure out how to find it | ||
