Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | Yeah... In recognition of Ovation's changing demographic the Wizard of New Hartford created a bowl contoured to fit the Average American Abdomen.

Location: Boise, Idaho | Ovation never admitted it, but that's what I always suspected. It's not just the aging population, there are lots more obese young people these days, too. |

It's not just the aging population, there are lots more obese young people these days, too.
All of this time I have just been thinking of the Middle-aged Spread...
I hadn't thought about how the upcoming generations are fat little piggies.
(I had a 30 inch waist up until I was about 49 years-old )

I hate to admit it, but many of us Aussies are moving towards contour bowls as well!
I was at a gig last night and showed a fellow Ovation player my 2081. He, sporting the fuller figure that is becoming so popular, 'tried it on' and said he may have to sell his two Ovations and get a newer model. Sad but true. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | My daughter really disliked the new contour bowl when she first tried one in 2006 because of the way it did not fit her anatomy. Although she's only about 5' 7', she has no comfort issues with the original style bowl. |
