Here is a question for some of the experts.

Did Ovation ever produce a resonator guitar? A friend of mine swears he has played one but he is not really the reliable type if you know what I mean. Iknow I have never seeen one before.

you probably didn't look far enough.
never a production item. Aqua, Silver and Quilted maple tops, maybe a few others, all buscuit construction.

Built a couple- spider & biscuit-types. O's make a wonderful "platform" for construction, especially bolt-on neck models.

So there's the aqua and maple ones accounted for. The silver was like the aqua one, built the same time.
