HI FOLKS, I'M A LONG TIME PLAYER AND OVATION FAN. I JUST PURCHASED A OVATION CLASSIC, I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE QUITE LIKE THIS ONE. IT HAS A HIGH GLOSS SHINE SMOOTH BACK, THE STICKER ON THE INSIDE SAY'S "BLOOMFIELD,CONN." WITH A SERIAL # 1019. IT ALSO SAYS PATENT PENDING ON THE STICKER. THE BACK IS ALMOST PERFECT. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME OUT WITH THIS? IT PLAYS BEAUTIFULLY, THE NECK IS STRAIGHT AS A ARROW. IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S HARDLY BEEN PLAYED. VERY BAFFLED BY THIS GUITAR. ANY INFO. AT ALL WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK-YOU.

It's an oldie. First few years of production. Hold onto that one for sure!

Lots of info on various members' sites. Here's a couple of my favorite member sites to get you going...

RC,

Would you happen to own GreeneAcres in Bradenton?

BTW, to the OFC!

RC GREENE, aka Bob, is the owner of Greene Acres Guitar here in Bradenton. His store is a stroll back into time. It's the 'candy store of ol' gits & amps'. I get geese bumps when I walk in there.

I got to visit with him this PM since he has an electric git of mine for a setup. He verified his ID here.

The above mentioned Ovation looks very much like a Josh White without the sig TRC. The inlaid rosette was very faded but intact. It has the 'sculpted/ornate' tuner knobs. I didn't have my cam with me, so we'll have to wait for pics.

Fortunately for him and unfortunately for us, he is quite busy in his full time business. So I'm not sure how much time he can spend here. But I assured him that I would do what I could to assist him in contributing to the OFC.

BTW, he sure does have a 'candy store'. I'm sure he has to use a wet/dry vac after I visit.
