Got a 1615 here (edit---aw, just noticed a crack in the back of the headstock) Good Hunting.

It worried me at first, but the guitar never goes out of tune, the intonation is fine right up the fretboard and it's tuned in concert pitch. I honestly couldn't see any sort of repair - however good - on the neck staying in tune like that. The early Ovations are well known for their laquer/varnish cracks, and mine's got a few of them, and I think the neck crack could be one. It's worse than the crack on that advert, as well - it goes right round. Could be a cheap Ovation. Bru

Well, a few hours after posting this subject, I found a new babe which has nothing to see with a Pacemaker ! :D It is a Parlor (Collector '97 model) ! So I used my "guitars' budget" for the rest of the year ! :D But the Pacemaker is still on my "to buy list" ! So I won't forget your advices. I'm very happy ! And I thank Andrew for its kindness ! ;)

The two slothead 12's that I have kept are the 1658 Custom Legend. I have two 1658's, one 1659, and the 6759. Not just the bling...worth trying to find. Sorry, not the greatest picture but this is one of my 1658's: ![]()

At first, so much bling I didn't even want to try it. Frankly, I was worried that it wouldn't fit in with the other wood boxes that were in the group. Pushed into trying it by the guitar shop owner, I was impressed (to say the least). Went back three days in a row, finally bought it. Never regreted buying it...playability, reliability, and voice.

If you should include a Pacemaker in the next year's guitar budget don't hesitate to contact me. I have a very early 1115-4 model with winged bridge which I might possibly sell next year. Karl
