Kaki fans, she has announced a fall tour including SLC and a number of other western cities. The whole list is on her Myspace page .

Cool! I'll be in Jackson Hole when she is there.

Send her to Europe, Mr King. Please...

I was listening to the Foo Fighter's most recent album, and there's an instrumental track on there that is just stunning. Open the CD sleeve and who played the guitar on that track? Yep, you guessed it.

Excellent.

If your city isn't on her schedule yet, do what I did. Email her manager and beg. It seems to work.

Thanks for the kind words and interest everybody. I just ran across some interesting photos of Kaki onstage in London earlier this month:

I particularly like the closeup of her new pedal board--there are a few things I didn't recognize.

Best to all--

Mark, SLC is an easy drive from Boise. Meet me in SLC and we could hook up with Flysig ...

Just an idea.

An SLC get together would be fun. I'd be happy to host a pre-show bbq/jam.

The Venue where she's playing is not your typical concert hall. There's no seating on the main floor, and it isn't all that big. Upstairs there are some seats and tables where adult beverages can be purchased.

That might work, since it's on a Saturday. I'll see if I have anything else going on that weekend.
