Bought one on ebay, where I have not been too successful. It's great so far. The top is close to perfect. It's a 1977 and has thick black posts on the tuners, which a couple of people on this board thought were for nylon strings, as did the seller. He tried to put nylons on it. Anyway, Povation's 77 1614 has the same tuners. So did a 77 1614 that sold on ebay last week for lots more money. Case is perfect, too.
Had some significant wear on the first couple frets and a cracked brace where they drilled right through it to put the pickup wire through. Gotta go put some strings on and try it out.

Congratulations...post some pics! All I got this week was a G&L Comanche that I'm probably going to flip in two weeks, and a wrecked truck. ;)

Sorry about the truck. We lost the posts from the past week. I bought a 90 Collector's for Paul Blanchard, a 1624 that my daughter has in Portland and I haven't seen yet and the 1614. My wife has the camera in Atlanta for the weekend, so I can't post any pics till Monday.

Good for you, Mark. Looks like you're starting an adoption agency.

Tough to get the high E string on those thick posts, but I finally got it and it sounds great. I think it sounds as good as anything I've got. The nice thing is that it is lots different than my other 12 fretter, the Classic, which has nylon strings and a cedar top, so I would have expected a different sound. A wonderful variety. I want to play them all at the same time. Everyone I play is my current favorite.

Way to go Mark! Seems like you just can't buy one guitar at a time. You're getting quite an impressive collection!
