Hi all,
I would like to buy a used ''floklore 1614-4'' from 1974 for... $ 800.00(Canadian). Perfect condition, I play on it yesterday and I love it. But I didn't find anything about the value of this guitare.
Is someone have any idea?
P.S. sorry for my poor english...I'm french

By the way, I've an other question, they stop to do this model in 1982. Why they stop to do a model...is it because they are not in demand?

Hi Christian,

I think they stopped this model because it was no longer popular. They came out with a "new" Folklore (model 6774) which was a mide-depth bowl, cutaway, and modern electronics.

Dave, they came out with the newer model 10 years after dicontinuing the old model. The new one also has 14 frets to the body as opposed to 12 on the old.

Is it possible to change the électronics part for a new system in an old model?

If you send the guitar to the factory, they can do it.

ok, I think it will cost me a harm and a leg..... and may be more than the value of the guitare..I'll keep it like that....I'll not be a better player with a new electronics system... :)

I got my folklore for $306, but most on ebay were going for $400 to $500. But that may not be market price. I was gone for 5 days and forgot.
