But if you're going to play acoustically as well, go with the first. Personal, I would go with the 6778LX. They sound great accoustically and great plugged in. The best of both worlds.

I have a 6868lx and I couldn't tell the difference between it and a mid-depth Balladeer LX sound-wise when strumming chords. maybe different for fingerpickers. 2) warranty. if you are buying new from an authorized O dealer, the new guitar will come with a lifetime warranty. used? no dice 3) color -- you didn't say whether they were both -5's. so, which looks better? which feels better? do you want a warranty. those seem to be your decision points. good luck!

The 6778LX is the more flexible of the two choices. I will admit my bias....I really don't like super-shallow bowl Os. It's a rare one that sounds better than a cigar box with strings acoustically. I've played a SSB LX Balladeer, and it was not deserving of the "LX" designation, IMHO. Roger

Hand selected spruce, O-A brace, Ivory bound ebony neck, - essentially a super-shallow Custom Legend without the bling. The best sounding super shallow I've ever heard. That's why it replaced the cardboard celibacy I threw overboard.
