This must be the MOB's mother.

Bill, I think you are correct on this one. Looks like this guitar passed the ugly gene to the MOB. Seems to run in the family here. But it would be hard to top how ugly the MOB is....Paul Hebert

It might just be the picture, but the hole looks like the garbage disposal in one of our rentals....

That has to be one of the most but-ugly guitars I have ever seen. I think the color is porta-john blue, or at least it took it's styling is based on a porta-john. That ring around the sound hole reminds me of the toilet seat.

I love Ovations but this one crosses the line.

Really interesting how the color blue stirs such emotions. It seems to be on the level of people who hate clowns for some reason. I love that blue color, it matches my Adamas II sorta. I also had a motorcycle custom painted that blue at one time. The only other colors of guitar I really like are translucent blues or purples, and natural. Black, white and red are ok, and on a guitar I usually prefer Natural. But that blue is such a calming color for me, I'm just so surprised it brings out such emotion for people.

It's not just the color blue, its the awful white-burst accent and that ugly ring around the sound hole. It's hard to believe it came from the factory like that, I'd guess this must be a custom job.

Ovations get mocked enough for the round synthetic back, there ought to be a law against such an abomination, if for no other reason than to maintain what little respect we Ovation owners still get. I say destroy it or at least neuter it so it can't reproduce. Guitars like this are exactly what the snooty Brazilian-Rosewood custom-built crowd think of when you say Ovation.

But then on the other hand, it takes all kinds to make the world go round. All in fun.

Hey

Look at Russ's post on the "Vomit" guitar, underneath all of our disgust was an altered Josh White, who knows what evil lurks in the heart's of men? The Shadow (of Mr Ovation) knows. Buy it Miles, and wait until it's unique qualities sink in to this Philistinic, opinionated, group of blue haters, I suspect they would bid a $2 bill on a genuine Bluebird.

Bailey (I think that thing matches my blue eyes)

I don't think much of the white accent either, but wasn't sure if the picture is just highlighting it more than it needs to be.

A whole lot more accent than it needs or should be I'm afraid. How 'bout some comments from the factory. Is anyone gonna claim this one?
