Location: North Carolina | Aren't these the strings that come in "poly" and "nano" flavors? Does anyone have experience with them and what the differences are? I have been thinking of trying some.

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | Franklin, the polyweb Elixer string has a slightly thicker coating than the nanoweb does. I find the nanoweb to be a tad brighter, and both offer long string life. I am a big fan of Elixer strings. I was so frustrated with the way I would kill strings, and Elixers have really proved themselves to me. I use the nanoweb 12-54 gauge on my guitars. They sound awesome on my Adamas, and they last along time. Great product. |

Location: North Carolina | On my Ibanez I like the Elixir Extra Light. On my Ovation I like light bronze for the sound. I've tried the Elixir but wasn't impressed. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | I put nano's on one of the old Nationals. Works great, they keep down the finger squeek and the extra slide noise. Got more polys and nanos ordered for the next round of changes. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | there were two made, a silver and a turquoise, single cone. They look great and sound pretty good. They are close to 8 years old now. I let it go because they were good but so different from what we were doing at the time. They would have needed too much work to bring to market. As far as I know there is no plan, no program, no intentions of ever doing anything with these. |

That's why you won't see too many banjo players using Elixirs--this substance is too foreign to them...
