Joined: December 2003 Posts: 95 Location: Fort worth Texas | I am about to purchase a new Ovation 1867 Legend with the op 40 preamp. Can anyone out there give me any input on their experience with this model guitar and preamp. I will be using it for live perfomances and run it straight through the board. also is 840. a good enough price for this guitar? Any feedback would be appreciated

I'm realtively new at playing live and all, but it is a great sounding guitar! I got mine for a little better price, you might shop around some. What finish and body size are you looking at? Mine is blue sparkle finish - sounds kinda glitzy but it is a nice subdues blue/charcoal look. Howdy to a fellow Cowtowner Paul

By the way, since your from cowtown you might wanna come check us out sometime www.TastyLixx.com is our bands website, we do mostly covers but have some really good musicians. The color I am looking at is natural I have had black and gold guitars for my last 2. Just sold a js 1000 Joe Satriani model (white) to buy this Ovation.

But this is one great guitar and I'd love for it to find a good home. Absolute new condition. Dave http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2369597200

When I got mine last year (he let me put it in layaway!) he had a Celebrity Collector's Edition (can't remember what year it was) and he had the Legend. The Legend at $495.00 was actually a little cheaper than the Celebrity ?!?!? I'm not sure if they can order something for you, just have to wait and might not get such a good price. It's a small shop, they've done some repair work for me and my bandmates: Kid On A Pony and two weeks ago I picked up a Genz-Benz Acoustic Shenandoah 85 amp to go along with the Legend. They carry Hamer guitars, too. I will come check y'all out!

If this is a new item from a real dealer then 45% off list is always good! I reserve the right to have faulty math. Obviously, you can save mucho dinero off a new one by buying used, if you're happy with that.

We recorded all those tracks earlier this year in our drummers house in one take with splitting headache hangovers. Currently we are working on some originals and putting out another group of MP3'S for a new demo. We also have a kick ass guitar player now. Thanx again for checking out the site and the kind words
