And as a point of order, I've ordered Bill Lawrence pickups for the neck of my tele. I suppose I liked the fact that they seemed like the smallest operation. In about a month I'll be able to tell you if the reviews and recommendations are true. |

Location: Las Cruces, NM | That is a completely stock Viper, and I will agree with the listing person (who I remember well) that the pickups are great sounding. Just because they don't have a famous name does not mean they are inferior, the Ovation quality was apparently very high when these pickups were made. They have more windings than the Fender single coils that were made back then, so they have a different sound. That is good as we don't need no steenkin' Fender copies.
