My 11 yr old son officially joined the youth and young adult band at church today. We met an hour early to practice a couple of songs and to see how he fit in with his violin. We play modern rock/pop style songs with a message, not necessarily overtly religious. I've managed to transcribe violin parts for many of the songs. We play on most Sundays for the teen/20 informal service, and once a month in the big church service. The nature of this band is that we never know who will show up to play or sing, and we're never quite sure which songs they will want us to perform. Today it turned out that it was me, my son, my daughter on vocals, another guitarist, and the drummer. We tried a new song for the first time (Only Grace by Matthew West), and it sounded pretty good after a couple of tries. They asked us to play that song this morning, so we did and it sounded great. Then, they asked us to make a "special appearance" in the main service next week with that song. Oh, and the Elite sounded really nice through the PA (gotta work something O into this post). No feedback problems at all, and it was really easy to EQ, with all the controls on the OpPro pre-amp set flat and the pre-shape on. This guitar is a winner. But my favorite Sig Sauer is a 1943 Sauer & Sohn manufactured K98 rifle. The workmanship is impressive and I still compete with it. The dang thing hits anything that I can see, and I routinely compete out to 800 or 1000 yds. That's with open sights, too! Those Germans sure earned their reputation for fine engineering and precise manufacturing.

I had a 9 for a while, I think it was a P228? held 13,.....but I always liked the .45 And like everyone said,....Live IS the way to go! It's even better when you can play live with family. We had a private gig over the summer that one of our band mates could'nt make so my son sat in for him. We had a blast, he learned all our stuff in a weeks time, and did a great job.
