They were only for about 4 years
The early ones have bowtie inlays and a pickguard and were only black and brown s/b.
The middle ones have preecher deluxe inlays and had barnboard and white finishes as well.
The last ones had the abalone preech dxl inlays and no p/g and the Schaller bridge. We also had fun with some other colors at the end |

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | There is a picture of me from 1983 in my brothers high school yearbook playing a black UK2. I did alot of musicals at that time. That was another great guitar I should have kept. :( |

Location: Belgium | when you said the middle ones were with preacher dlx inlays, and then I searched that on GIS, and this came up:
These are the exact same inlays as my UK2, but I thought those were from the deacon. Is this preacher a one off too, like my uk2? I never saw one like mine (black, no pickguard, ovation bridge and a deacon neck(or at least inlays) finished black
also, on a side note, is it normal that the two volume controls on that guitar are the two left ones when standing on a stand? On my les paul the two volume controles are the two highest when standing. I had a pot changed a while ago (shaft broken) and I normally play flat out on all controls so it took a while until I noticed. |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | I believe the two right ones when you are looking at it are the volume's and I have seen many UKII's including black with no pickgurad and diamonds. Actually seen just about every configuration you can think of. Dot, Bowties, diamonds, Schaller Bridge, Ovation bridge and even chrome hardware (possible a custom) on that one). |

Location: 6 String Ranch | Most of the funny colors were one offs. There were a couple of maple necks in there too.
That preech dxl neck is a decon pattern, must also be a special
The volumes were the top and tone the bottom, it is different from a Les P. |
