Check out this clipping from the honolulu observer newspaper:

blah, blah blah ... "The couple separated earlier this year and 35-year-old Jaylin Kema has a restraining order against her husband through January 2008. In court papers, she said her husband had been abusive, smashing ukuleles against her with such force that he once broke a tooth. On another occasion, he chased her with a machete, according to court records."

The best was an article in the North Carolina paper about a guy who bludgeoned to death his girlfriend with his banjo. Part way through it the banjo broke and he had to go get his second one to finish the job. They caught him quickly due to his choice of weapons.

Lesson learned - if he really wanted to shut her up, he should have used a metal resonator ululele.

What is all the hoopla amongst ya about banjos? I think they make a pretty sound and I still have all my teeth.
Don't fear the banjos. They are your friends. They are also a kissing cousin of the quitar.
