Location: Phoenix, AZ | Will the Adamas models ever receive the lighter bowl, advanced neck system with new truss rod, original pickup and OP preamp? Am I the only one who wonders why these improvements have not made their way to the top of line? (Since Melissa Etheridge supposedly had input into the OP preamp settings, shouldn't her signature model at least have the preamp she's using?) |

Look in my gallery for pictures of the teardrop LX Adamas I have seen the picture and been lusting after the guitar. I just haven't heard anything indicating we'll be able to buy something like this not too far down the road. I don't know what's wrong with me (while I do notice a shortage of doctors here) thinking my Elite Standard LX may somehow be deficient for my lack of playing ability. |

Location: Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey | I have the most recent Melissa Etheridge Adamas MEII1598 12 string model, which has "some" of the LX updates (I got it last September) compared to the original ME1598 'ruby' version. It has the lighter bowl and the OP Pro, and may have the scalloped bracing (I haven't looked, but tink I read that somewhere), but the neck still has the K-Bar system.
The other noticable structural difference (which is not LX related) from the original is that there are only sound holes on one side (bass side). This model is also a natural gray color with a suble black burst rather than ruby. |
