Location: Florida | Back in July I ordered a W597 that won't be available till November at the earliest. Last week I took delivery on a 1981 Adamas II that was bought at a NAMM show from a vendor before the Model was introduced for sale to the public. The owner stored it for 23 years and only took it out to show it off on occasion. He never even played it. After removing the 23 year old strings and battery (no damage from the leak) it is the best sounding acoustic/electric guitar I have every heard or played. My delima is I have already prepaid for the W597, but I can't image that it could sound better than this 1681-2 I have. Anyone want to buy out my preordered W597? |

Location: Indiana | I would think that my 1881 would be close to the same sound as your 1681. Of course my W597 should be REAL close. I wouldn't sell either. They are both great guitars (IMHO),but still quite different from each other. I say take delivery of the W597, then decide if you should sell one (or just send one of them to me for giving such good advice). Remember, you can't have too many O's.

Location: Indiana | At least all of mine are different. And besides, muzza, I only have 10 O's. My herd is very small compared to others here.

Location: Keller, TX | Is the W597-4G stock or custom? I have a 1681 now and had a W597. Mine have completely different sounds. I'm actually looking to get another W597, but am interested in the Millennium.
Wait until you get the W597. You may want to keep both. |

Location: Florida | UPDATE: My new W597 arrived on Wednesday. It might be one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen. Acoustically, it does not compare to my Adamas II, but amplified it has a lot more options and the built in tuner is a nice touch. If anyone is interested please contact me at JRMiami@hotmail.com. |
