Joined: March 2002 Posts: 14842 Location: NJ | Has anyone here ever had any experience with THESE guys? : Triple-S A few weeks ago, I was asked to play at an outdoor barbecue here at the office. It was hot & sunny, so they set up a pop-up canopy for me t'play under. A couple of times, a "leg" or two of the canopy would lift in the breeze. I asked a couple times to have 'em sandbagged. It never happened. After the barbecue was over, I was just starting to tear-down when the canopy went airborne, a leg caught my mixer stand, and the the mixer took a tumble onto the grass from about 3' :mad: :mad: I looked it over, and initially it appeared t'be fine. However, when I powered it up that night at a gig, I found that both of the Aux. busses (that I send to my powered monitors) don't work on one channel and in varying degrees on some others. Naturally, the channel that has no monitor is the one that I have dedicated for my vocals. I try to keep all of my/Rick's inputs within the first 6 channels, as they are the ones controlled by the "StandBy" button for when we go on break. I queried the guy at GC that I bought the unit from, and he recommended these guys as they do all of GC's service. Since it's a national company, I was wondering if anyone have ever had any dealings with 'em . . . | ||

Joined: March 2002 Posts: 14842 Location: NJ | The guy from Triple-S told me on the phone that it takes 7-10 days t'get it "on the bench", then another day/two to fix it. I can use my old, 5-channel Peavey in a potential "pinch". . . . and yes, the Company is footing the bill. | ||

If he is an example of the type of people they hire, I would steer VERY clear of them. I agree with Al .... take it to Dave. | ||
