Great guitars. They seem to be getting a little more hard to find although rumor has it that a certain PI in SoCal recently pickup up a nice one. Going rate probably $2500 or so. Not sure I want to part with mine but last I knew Tony Calman has mroe than one.

I purchased one from GC recently for 1300.00. It was in excellent shape. I returned it to the store in Amarillo. I am not sure if it is still there.

1300 seems a good price, why did you return it? Mine is both beautiful sounding and looking it would take a natural disaster to pry it from my hands.

It was a drop dead beautiful guitar, but really didn't (acoustically) sound any different than my 1619 or 1651. I know some prefer the OP Pro over the stacked, but I plug in so rarely anymore.  I am really unsure as to the difference between the 1619 and the 30th, other than pre-amp. They looked identical to me and sounded the same not only to me, but to those who listened to them played side by side. Don't get me wrong...it is a killer acoustic guitar...in many ways.

Main difference I know of is a bear claw spruce top and upgraded preamp otherwise design elements should be the same.

The 1619 has the old style trussrod, the 30CM has the latest double action post-kbar trussrod. I love it, I have it on my 30CM, 2008-5 and 2009-FKOA and it works wonderfully. There was a 30CM last week on eBay in UK, it will showup again eventually, it did not sell.

This p.i. ain't letting his go any time soon. I believe that the 30th CL and the 87 C are the two best wood top O's ever built. Neither are going anywhere.

And while you might find one cheaper, they are $2500 guitars......

I agree my CL 30 is my constant go to. I like most for both sound and feel.

Yes. I do have two 30th's...one that I believe was the first delivered guitar (1/06/04) and is my primary. 2nd one came in 1/12/04, confined in a case since.

I have had a number of early custom legends - not any more after this model (the best of 1974 and 2004). For those who know will agree, I have a number of older and newer Ovation, Adamas, Takamine, and those other guitar labels to compare it with. I primarily play it unplugged but I know that if I want to plug in, I can use the OP-Pro, XLR, or drop a Studio, VIP, or iDea amp into the 'can'.

The second one is for sale, now or later. I believe that there will never be another production run of this guitar. Production run in 2004 was 300 world wide.

My advice is to try and find one at a lower than normal price due to a distress sale. If not, this one may be available.
