I know I say that about all my gits, but YOU know the top on that guitar is so light and wonderful, and I love, love, LOVE the deep, gorgeously vintage-looking chocolate-y wine color, which is very hard to see in most photos. Karl's shots of his are the only good representations I've seen. And it sounds wonderful ... At least the one I used to have! I would LOVE to have another one! I have um, "previous obligations" regarding another soon-to-be-revealed acquisition that I must satisfy first, so hunting around is out of the question for me right now ... I sure DO love guitars. P.S. Dan, yer killing me ... Willa Edited by WillaMuse 2012-09-26 8:00 PM

Imagine my pain at finding these killer deals and not being able to buy them when I find them. I'd love to have that guitar, even with the exorbitant shipping costs. I would have loved to have bought MWoody's 2007 BCS Collectors, too. I bought a 2078TX last month and was enjoying it immensly. Last week, I found a 1624 on CL for $100, which I bought that day. After I brought it home, my wife said she hoped I wasn't going to be buying a new guitar every month. I meekly told her that guitars are cheaper than model airplanes (my 'former' hobby) and last much longer. Dan Edited by DanSavage 2012-09-27 12:01 PM

As for that '96C (AWESOME) beauty, I wrote the seller asking him if the shipping price was a typo! He wrote me back (before the auction ended) and said that the price shown for shipping was determined by Ebay, not him, and that he would have only charged what it cost him to ship it. I thought I should tell others on the board about that, because I bet some people do the same thing when they list something, which might suggest that once in a while, S&H may be negotiable ... how Ebay calculated more than $160 S&H is beyond me ... I guess they were taking Hawaii into consideration or something, I don't know. Anyway, as you wrote, it's all moot now ... somebody snagged a wonderful O at a great price! It's almost always a good idea to contact the seller whenever there's a question about shipping, etc. I was one of the bidders on the 1976 Patriot posted here a couple of weeks ago. Since I was located close to the seller I asked if I could pick it up instead of having him ship it to save the $75 and he agreed.
