Took my oldest daugher and her best friend to see Train in Memphis Firday Night. The whole story would take forever to type out so here are just the highlights.
1) got 2 free tickets and one for $20.00
2) The girls got free t-shirts and cds from the Sister Hazel who was warming up along w/autographs & photo.
3) Nice Lady working security escorted the girls up to the front of the stage. We had lawn seats,
4) I was able to sneak the girls backstage and crash the after show meet and greet.
5)Leaving the meet & greet a roadie ask us if we want to see the tour bus. Girls got drumstick from the bus. I ask for a Pick the guys said none on the bus. Thought that odd.
6) We leave the bus walk 10 step and a second roadie ask us if we wanted a guitar pick.

How was Sister Hazel, James? Been a fan of theirs for years and wasn't aware that they were still out playing?

Wonderful story.

Weas - SH is a local band, they still perform here quite a bit. Taylor boys, all of 'em. Trivia: they took their name from a local nun who ran a soup kitchen and outreach ministry for homeless folks here.

That's right, serge. Now I do remember reading that they came out of your area. A few years ago I caught that SouthEastern roots acoustic rock bug (SH, Cravin' Melon, Edwin McCain, etc) and I still enjoy throwing that on from time to time.

SH was very good. It was a wine and cheese crowd and after a few songs w/limited responce the lead singer told the crownd "you guys know we're kind of a big deal. We have several songs on major Hollowood films. How many of you saw Major League III. Then named a few more lesser know films. Gotta love that humor.
After their set the band made their way to the tee-shirt booth and signed autographs and photos w/ everybody that wanted one.

Solid, I would say the drum sticks, Brie took the one she got in 2006 which was used at the Ryman, the drumer printed out his name and then To Brie, you rock super dupper. She gave the "new" one from the bus,to one of her other friends.

If the pick had been custimized I would have given it the nod, but it was just a standard mid. fender.
