For that price you would think they would put a pickguard on it. :D

I might even consider that over my CEO, but I'd have to play it first. At 7k, it would have to be spectacular.

For $7000 you'd think you'd get some authentic Balinese hand carving and a rainbow of inlays!

Actually their description is not correct. SOME 12 fret guitars are accomplished by using a standard 14 fret body and moving the bridge back towards the tail. Ovations are like this, as is my new Takamine and my 00028 Norman Blake custom. But on most Dreads like this Collings, the Martin CEO and my martin HD28VS they simply elongate the upper bout (make the body longer towards the neck) to meet the neck at the 12th fret instead of the 14th. Make no mistake, these are sonically stunning guitars. But it's not exactly true that the bridge is moved back into the "sweetspot". Measured from the tail, and with respect to the soundhole and braces the bridge is in exactly the same location as a standard dreadnaught. Plus I ain't got 7k right now.

And it shows... it looks totally out of proportion.

"Nut Width: 1 13/16 in. (44.45 mm)"

It's a manly-neck too!

Anyone want to take a wild, impulsive flyer and just buy it for me? C'mon -- live a little!

I'd be really grateful.
