Location: On the Coast - Halfway between SF & OR | I've just come across an early breadwinner, the type with the amp jack on the end - sn:E00121.
Anyway, the tuners have been changed as well as the pickups. Does anyone know of a source for the correct parts? Also, does anyone have any pictures of an early breadwinner that I could use to help with the restoration?
Thanks |

What colour have you got?
This blue one of mine is slightly later than yours with the jack in the pg but the same toroidal single coil pups.
I'll see if I have some better pics.
Does yours still have the preamp?

I haven't taken the cover plates off yet so I don't know if the preamp is still there and working or still there and bypassed or removed altogether. I'll check it tomorrow.
Could you let me know what the original tuners would have been? The current ones are single screw mounted but there are additional holes in the headstock making me think the originals were mounted with 2 screws. |

Schaller M6Ns were the Tuners used.

Location: NW Washington State | Woody, do you think that the fancy battery cover was original? Did they ever make plain chrome battery covers like the neckplate?
I think that Miles might have those pickups.

The one on Woodys guitar is the later cast type.
I might have a set of pups, I definitely have a set of humbuckers

I'd be interested in purchasing originals and maybe the humbuckers also.
Have any original tuners? |

I just picked up a Breadwinner here today.
I mainly bought it for the case.
It's been fitted with Seymour Duncans.
The owner thinks he still has the original electronics somewhere.
It's also a white one #E1418
It had the single coils but the jack in the pg.
Same as my Blue one.
I'll see what extras I can lay my hands on.
