I have a mid depth Adamas, and the Koa completely blows it away on the bottom end. The Adamas is more 'shimmery', but I don't need that sound so much because I already have a Taylor. I don't know if that makes any sense or not.
Bottom line is I am really looking forward to the special from Al. It its half what I want it to be, it will make a real nice one-two punch with my Taylor. |

I cannot say how much of the sound differences were due to the bowl, and how much the model appointments, but there was a difference. Go back and find my comparison on the three. May or may not help you and it is certainly subjective. |

You'd have to play the identical guitars under indentical conditions with the only difference being the bowl. Tough to do. For me Contour Bowl has the right cavity size for good sound and the right shape for comfort, so that pretty much seals the deal. |

| I just bought a Legend Contour 2077LX. Compared to my 1988 Legend 1717, the new guitar has a very sweet tone. Once you start playing it, you just don't want to put it down. |
