This is the 2nd one of these I have seen... In the words of Steve Martin from an old SNL skit...
"What in the hell is that thang?"

I don't know what it is, but I wish I could afford to buy it. It is the answer to my grandson's signature Peavey amp if they are telling the truth about the volume. Fortunately for Las Cruces I can't afford anything.

Miles, this system is called a "sound beam projector" system...There were two models offered and they came as a complete system. They also were called "Mother Dude"..One was 100 watts and the other was 250 watts..The first system had model numbers K-6350-1 preamp/amplifier(250 watts with ovation k6300 amp),the other was model K-6150 amplifier only with Ovation K6100 amp......
Both systems came with a 32" sound beam projector with a 12" audient speaker inside..In the bottom cabinet there is a 15"Audient extended bass speaker and one mid range horn and driver..
The systems listed for $1530.00 abd $1370.OO

Why anyone would want one?? I dont know?

This is highly innovative design for the time, but by modern standards they're underpowered, & bulky, especially with the transit cover on. Over $1500 30 years ago? Ouch!!!!!. I'd bet they sound good though. One of these with a little mixer would make a MONSTER acoustic guitar rig.

"sound beam projector" I WANT IT!!

just the name has me hooked, "Alright you nosy annoying neighbor, the sound beam projector is swinging in your direction, prepare to eat glass you fool, here comes the last three chords you will ever hear as your eardrums will melt into fused hammer, anvil and stirrup and the hair on your head blows away and your face takes on a permanent windblown appearance like an out of control botox treatment. You'll learn to mess with a sound beam projector system in the hands of a master of retribution."

I guess you could play music with it too.

Just the look of the thing makes you want to have it! Of course the shipping will probably be twice what it costs!

It looks like $149.99 is going to get it, it would be interesting if whoever got it is on the board. I'd like to hear what it really sounds like.
