First, it's harder to play well than my Adamas 12 string (Big Blue). Blue plays like buttar up and down the neck. And has a much better acoustic sound. But plugged in, the GC 12, with the OP 40 I had put in sounds much better than Blue. Which brings me to my second point. The GC 12 is harder to play, but ultimately, a more rewarding guitar to play. It's like driving a mid 1980's 911 vs. a new one. Anybody can drive a new 911 fast. But to driver a 20 year old 911 fast, when a mistake can bite you in the butt, takes real skill and is very rewarding. When I play well on the GC 12, I feel like I've really done something. And you guys who have heard me play know that for me to play well is a real accomplishment. Thoughts?

Mostly I had tuning issues with the capo and the key of F!! As I pushed through it got easier and I left (20 minutes ago) more confident and sure. Sometimes it seems it won't come together and then a breakthrough happens. We are doing "Light the Fire Again", "Shout to the Lord", "Ancient of Days" and "Sweet Water" which is new to me. What will you be playing?

We saw your then and now pictures in the photo gallery. Those pictures are very special. It was realy nice spending time with you. I told some friend about the web site and they are going to join. Thank you for encouragement about urging me to stop LURKING on the website. Since I started I check the site many times a day and I even manage to get some work done. I sent the photos away to be processed. They are actually being processed in Hollywood in a lab called A and I. I will be getting the photos next week and will post them ASAP. Phil

I have tried and tried and spent lots of money trying to get a GC12, Pacemaker, etc. setup as well as an Adamas 12. In my experience it just can't be done. I'm not sure why. The action and smoothness of the Adamas all the way up and down the fretboard is amazing. Likewise, the sound of the old textured top Adamas 12's is something that just can't be matched. BUT, for sentimental reasons put an old shiny bowl 12 string in my hands and I'm a happy camper. Your CG12 with the new electronics must be amazing. Dave

It played like butter up & Down the neck and stayed that way for the 8 years that i owned it. That said i did'nt have anoter 12 to fall back on. I have however, played some 12's that sound pretty good but are harder to play. Perhaps,It t have something to do with the set-up? at anyrate I'm sure Moody can make it Sing!

Compared to most other traditional style 12 strings this Ovation is out of their league> I have not had the pleasure of trying any other Ovation 12's. I did own a 6 String Elite for many years and I can also say The Adamas 6 is another step above that one as well? Plugged in or not I have even less experience! But I am very pleased with the sounds I am coming up with using a Zoom Acoustic effects unit! and my Peavey amp?

The Adamas ME 12-string is much easier to play; the 14-fret-to-the-body neck makes a difference compared to the 12-fret-to-the-body neck on my Glen Campbell 12-string. I prefer the sound of the GC 12-string. Not that the Adamas sounds BAD, it sounds very good indeed. But the deep-bowl of the GC just BOOMS. The GC is a straight acoustic, so I can't compare "plugged-in".
