Ovation Patriot Guitar 1776-1976 Rare $650 BIN Ovation Patriot Bi-Centennial (200 yr 1776-1976) This is the first Limited Edition model Ovation ever made, each guitar is numbered in sequence, and this is number #306 of 1776 guitars built. Featuring a deep bowl, Patriot "1776-1976 inlay so called "Connecticut Nutmeg" dark stained spruce top, 5 ply mahogany-maple laminated neck, bound body and ebony fingerboard with abalone diamond inlays, 43mm (1 11/16") width at the nut width, 645 (25 3/8") scale lenght, walnut bridge with 2 abalone dots, gold tuners, mahogany truss rod cover with abalone diamond inlay, This guitar is exceptionally clean, taken care for over it's 35 years of existence. Never seen a cleaner Ovation before, comes with original Ovation hardcase in similar good condition. The only reason it is selling for $100 less than the going price, is that it is slighty lifting at the bridge. It has not changed the clean sound of the guitar.
This particular guitar has always had a great, warm and rich sound. The overall tone of this guitar could be described as very good. It has improved over the years in-spite of it's partial wood construction
