I must say I have a newfound respect for the Korean TX models after plugging one in side by side with its American counterpart. Unplugged, the American T still beats the pants off of the Korean (both the midbowl 1778 and shallowbowl 1868 variations), due to the differences in wood tops ("A" versus "AA" spruce) and bracing. But when you plug in a TX (which comes with the same OP-PRO and the OCP-1K pickup of the last American T's) it sounds as almost as good as the T, and will actually sound better than an older T that has the OP-30 and thinline pickup. The electronics make a bigger difference than I thought.
