Mama Bear is a pretty good answer to old electronics. The great thing about mama bear is that it is geared to match many input sources including the Ovation crystal peizo pickup. I read in an old review how Rick Turner demoed it a presentation using a old Ovation and using the J-200 model. At the time he wowed the crowded. I can see why, it really makes a much bigger difference with the older pickups cause there is much more to improve. I could very much live with the Mama Bear treatment and not have to mess with a classic. You do have to play with the settings to get it right. Very cool.
