Joined: August 2007 Posts: 1008 Location: Tuscany, Italy | After having sold some non-Ovation guitars locally, and promised my wife to save :rolleyes: , I ran into one (for me) amazing pinnacle 3712 manufactured in Japan. I can not tell the year of production; maybe 1991. The guitar is perfect. Cosmetically it has only a few dings on the bottom part of the lower bout. You all know that it has a A grade spruce top, classic A bracing, Schaller gears, OP24 preamp, non-cutaway, deep bowl ..... the color is (again for me ..) the beautiful burnboard, with a nicely done gray-green shade. The sound is very beautiful, with detailed notes, deep bass ... typical Ovation. But I have noticed that the A mod. bracing that is used in the Ultra Series, Matrix, and Applause (though not with a solid top), to my ears makes the sound more open, bright, vibrant, resonant at the same time. But this is me :) .... However I like very much this guitar. Since I got it (I purchased it low priced locally a week ago) I cannot stay away from this guitar. CLIK FOR THE ALBUM  | ||
