Kaki makes me proud to own that Adamas! I don't have to look like Melissa Etheridge (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Kaki took a course from me during Guitar Week at the Swannanoa Gathering in the late 1990's, and is a very talented young lady. She favors tapping and percussive devices that are not my cup of tea in my dotage (although I am quite fond of the playing of Preston Reed), but I can attest first-hand to her creativity and commitment to guitar playing. Since she is the age of my second kid, I understand the exuberance of youth and the desire to set out on different roads in search of the musical grail for her. I wish her well in the journey, and have encouraged her to continue to place the tools of the percussive approach in the service of melody.

I thought the coolest thing about her performance, other than her obvious talent and control of the instrument, was the fact that we had a solo acoustic guitar performance on national TV.
Way to go Kaki!! The more exposure that type of playing gets, the better for all of us.
