Why?

I think the OOO 12 fret Martins sound great.

The 1 13/16 neck would be good for finger style playing.

I'll admit they are a bit pricey.

My second choice would be a OOO-16SGT with an electronics package.

Third choice might be a nylon string.

Looks like for the money a U681T would fill the bill for a lot less money. :D

Oh, you misintrepted my response completely. 000 12 fret is a GREAT choice. It was interesting because it was like you were reading my mind. In a few weeks I'll have a LOT more to say on this subject and how it relates to a certain custom shop in PA.

Cool.

I hope to get some data for your serial number list to you soon.

Right now I've pretty busy.

Look forward to what you post in the future.

BTW How's the weather in Phoenix?

You can't use Hot and Dry in your response. :D

I will answer the weather question. I am in the valley of the sun just a few miles from Phx. We have a cold inverson that is keeping all the pollution from leaving the valley. It sucks here now. It is hard to breath and we don't need any more winter visitors here adding to the pollution. I don't work for the touristry board anymore.

I think Adamas falls under Ovation for this poll...but nice choice anyway. :)

I would not play anything...id move to the hills and become a monk.

I agree with Jeff W. The MCPherson's are beautiful
Yes they are and their sound holes can be used for handles. I never heard one of them before and am curious what sounds they make.

I've always thought a Gretsch White Falcon might be nice.

I agree with Styll ... I just don't think I could be as happy as I am with my Ovations/Adamas.

I don't think I could do the monk thing though. ... But I might be tempted to take up keyboards.

Aside from all that ... I think I'd aquire a old Fat Strat! (black Clapton model)

A standard Martin D18 or Gibson J45(Mahogany)will "get me home" and they fit the "requirements" of the original post--Non-Ovation, $2500.00 max price acoustic if I can remember 4 pages ago.

A Taylor...that is CWK2 ...Taylor-Made Titanium - Extra fat shaft - just like a 1 3/4 ...less forgiving - more precise ...some day let's duke it out on the links...

oh..guitar...current stuff...a Collings....nothing is better being made today...and due to recent enlightenment - I've needed to purchase another guitar...Collings wins hands down for me...the 2500 price point will be an issue though...thanks for the opinion Bill...

I played one of these about 12 years ago. The only reason I didn't sell my car to buy one is that it is much more guitar than I am a guitarist. But, really, that goes for everything I own.
