| I found this site in my internet scavenger hunt to find out exactly what kind of guitar that I have so I can buy the right parts for it. My dad gave it to me several years ago, and has since forgotten. At some point, the inner sticker that says the model number inside the body got peeled off, so I can’t look it up. After a few hours of going through Ovation’s spreadsheets of models produced on their website and looking at pictures of guitars on the internet, I concluded that it could be an Ovation Matrix, though I have yet to find a picture of one that looks exactly like mine.
If any of you guys recognize what model it is or know how to find out and would be kind enough to tell me, I would really appreciate it. The serial number is 173703, which places it as a 1979 model. It is a 12-string electric. Here are some pics!

| Whoa, thanks for the fast answers and warm welcome, guys. That made my day :) . I had thought maybe it was a Glen Campbell at first but I convinced myself otherwise since it didn't have all of the ornate designs on it like in some of the other pictures on Ovation's site and it's missing the signature plate on the headstock.

I'm looking for a single tuning peg or just the actual peg part that you turn on the peg. The guitar sadly got knocked over and one broke so I've been playing it with just 11 strings. Also I suppose a new signature plate for the headstock if one can be bought anywhere. |

Location: Nashville TN. | I think they still have some GC truss rod covers at the factory. They may be able to come up with a tuning gear. Get in touch with Ovation Service. |
