I have 2 ovation balladeers, I purchased at an antique shop. Both have large holes cut in the bowls.one is a 12 string shiny bowl balladeer serial #2347. 1967 -68. The other is a Deluxe balladeer serial# B365. 1968-69. I was wondering if anyone knows why the holes? These holes are much larger than the holes made for ovation electronics access. My thoughts are that these might have been seconds at the factory, and discarded. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY INFORMATION. .I am a new member to this forum, and would like to post pictures of them, and maybe sell them.I haven't figured out how to do that yet. Thanks

It is possible that those were made to display the bracing and such in the innards.
I know that I have seen such guitars. I cannot remember where.
I have not seen your guitars, so I am just guessing.

In the meantime... Only a few people can respond in the Welcome Center.
