Hi Mark and Welcome,

   You may need a neck reset.   This is my procedure...

1.  remove all strings and check each fret to ensure no one is higher than another.  I simply use a credit card for this placing with the target fret in the middle and the fret before and after.  Then touching every fret, where every string would touch, and ensure it can't rock back'n forth.  If there are any high spots..  get rid of them.   

2.  With all strings off..  use a long edge to ensure neck is FLAT.  No relief, no bow.

3.  Use a long enough edge to check the bridge height. If the edge is flat on the neck, and is at or maybe a just a pinch lower than where the bottom of the slots on the bridge are...  you should be ok.  You can always add shims.  If it's higher than the slot on the bridge at this point..  well, you need a neck reset as you obviously can't lower the bridge unless it's close enough to just shave a little off the bottom of the plastic bridge.

When you do this.. adding normal strings and tuning up should put enough tension on the neck so there is no string buzz and you have good height.  Maybe adding a shim might be necessary depending on how you play.
