Some years back, I bought a Magnum bass on Ebay that had only a single pickup and a unique pickguard and routing configuration. I posted here, but never received any information on the bass. I don't have access to the bass during quarantine to take pictures, but it was documented on Worthpoint. The name Banner Thomas (Molly Hatchet) looks to be factory engraved on the truss rod cover. I'd love to hear if anyone knows the story behind this bass:

Don't know anything about it, but it looks badass. Reminds me of the Guild Jetstar (first edition, 65/66 I think) basses. The pickup looks to be somewhere in the general vicinity of the MM StingRay "sweet spot"...how does it sound?

I don't remember it but it probably was made for him. We made some Adamas guitars for the guitar players. It has all the right parts and besides, who would have wanted to fake one of those back then?

I haven't played it in awhile, and it's currently in storage, but I remember it sounding pretty good with the unique configuration!

Thanks for the response! Regardless, I'm happy to have such a unique variation on this model!
