Hi Ovation lovers,

Lots of Ovation haters but not me. I'm looking to get my first one.

There's a "1995 US made "Legend" Acoustic Guitar I found on Craigslist but haven't purchased yet. My question is this: old acoustics often have "issues", the worst being a neck reset. I just bought a 91 Taylor and during setup was sadly informed it needed a neck reset bad.

How do 1995 legends hold up? The action looks MUCH lower on this one so hoping no major work needed. I pinged the Ovation factory and they quote $300-$400 for a neck reset. Also, because the ovation roundback is not wood, I'm totally confused on how it attaches to the neck and how well it holds up.

What's your experience with 90's era USA Legend Ovations and how well they hold up? Cheers everyone!

The neck attaches by Epoxy, or Bolts.
Depends on the model and year.

As to "How they hold-up"...
There are still a few old Ovation in use nowadays.
It depends on how it was treated.
