It is in brand new condition, and the Guitar Center salesman (I have dealt with him for years) said it is on 'Super Clearance'. It retails for $1699, and my price would be $850. It looks and plays great and I think I will buy it. Just want to check the date of manufacture. Any idea? Thanks, R

My question is, why isn't there an easy to read list of serial numbers stating the date of manufacture? I have seen several of these on the internet, in particular, their 2017 introduction at NAMM. If I was searching for a guitar made in the dark ages I could understand having to do lots of detective work. On the back of this headstock, it is clearly stamped, "Custom Shop, USA, #17092601". I have made a deposit on it and will pick it up today (can't wait). All of your thoughts and comments are welcome. Thanks, Rick

Joined: February 2016 Posts: 1768 Location: When?? | The first two submits of this post came out in wing-ding-type characters. Weird. Anyone else ever had that happen here? Anyway.. as Damon said, it was the first guitar of September 26, 2017. The serial number is the date of manufacture (year/month/day/order). We batch-date our candies exactly like that, too, so about 10 hours from now we will have batch #19092601. To enamor it's feelings for you, perhaps pick it up today and play "Happy Birthday".. then take it out for the dinner and movie Moody mentioned earlier. Your big chance to begin a love o' fair for life :-) Congratulations on a great deal!! Edited by Love O Fair 2019-09-26 12:39 AM

I have played her for 2 days and she sounds beautiful.....but I kept wondering what this little beauty would sound like with Martin Retro 12s. The sunburst finish is so thin you can clearly see the spruce wood grain and I thought maybe the Retros would add something special. I was right. Dang, this is WONDERFUL. Sounds like a piano.
