I guess removing it may be tricky if I can't access the inside though. I wondered about drilling it out, but it will just spin. Perhaps some fret pliers could cut the outside part of the molly off, leaving the internal flange to fall into the guitar. Once the old molly is out, are new ones available? I'm sure I could make something work with a toggle bolt as shown above. This Custom Legend I bought new as a 17 year old in 1989. I sold it because I needed the money in 1994, and just bought it back 25 years later! Just needs a few things tidied up (67708596_10156553517181048_6338907245362806784_n.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 67708596_10156553517181048_6338907245362806784_n.jpg (49KB - 1 downloads)

Not my collection sadly (I'm getting there though ). That's some of the collection of the guy who had my Custom Legend all these years - that's when I first saw it again and began negotiations to buy it back! Edited by Bazz Jass 2019-08-29 7:24 PM

Oh, and congratulations on reclaiming it. Lots of people I know, including myself, continue to fail in their pursuit of lost loves. I once lost a Custom Legend to a 454 short block trade. The motor crashed not long after, and I've never seen that pretty little CL again. Stupid me.
