Hi,

I need to make a quick decision and would appreciate any opinions. I'm negotiating on 2 Ovations and having difficulty deciding, especially since I won't have the opportunity to try them.

I can afford both guitars, but which would be a better purchase? Why?

1. Mid 90s Balladeer 1612 - still in almost brand new condition, incl OHSC - US$530
2 Legend 1777LX - still very new, incl, OHSC - US$750

These guitars and I are not from the US, and the prices reflect the local market here in Thailand.

Thanks in advance

Wow! If you can only get one, it is a tough choice.

I thought about it, for a bit...
Get the Legend 1777LX
(Why?)
Bolt-on Neck can be reset later in life.
Graphite stabilizers in the neck joint.
LX Bracing. Cutaway. Removable preamp module. GS Bowl.
You did not specify Color.
But LX guitar are getting scarce because people are NOT selling them, they Keep them.
You Will see another 1612 before you see another LX.

Thanks for the advice. Really appreciate it. BTW both are in the same natural colours.
