Just recently acquired an older Boss AD-3 pedal that has balanced stereo output (replaces my DI). I've tried it with my 1527 6 string and 1866 12 string and am very pleased with the results. I like having an adjustable feedback notcher and built in chorus and reverb effects.

Curious what other members have tried in live gigs or recording to enhance the piezo signal.

A compressor is the main thing. The Op Pro Studio preamp also had an acoustic exciter function which sounded great on wood topped O's. I've never tried a separate exciter pedal though, and I no longer have that guitar with the Studio preamp. Sometimes a touch of chorus or reverb is good.
