One of my favorite country artists passed away at 78 years today. Don used ovation guitars and here is his ovation case linked to the country music hall of fame. https://www.instagram.com/p/-l4VfAxUS3/

One of my favorites too. He had one of the most soothing voices in the business. RIP.

The gentle giant - There are no new artists to replace the greats that are passing away -what a shame - rest in peace and thanks for all the wonderful music. https://youtu.be/ThkxStPQUkM

I Loved his voice and his songs, he told the Best Stories in his songs, with such a smooth voice.
RIP Don, and Thank You for the Music.<3

No glitz, no glamour, no gimmicks. Just played and sang from the heart.
R.I.P. Don.

Sad day for me. I had his "Lay With Me" played at my wedding in 2003. I have since learned to play it myself. Not as well as his standard but it will always be special to me.
