Does anyone know if Alison's shop in SD is still open? Going on a long motorcycle ride and was gonna stop by there but I can't find any current information on it. Any help will be appreciated. siempre nerdy dave

I don't believe that the Shop is open any longer.
HERE is a Newspaper clip from a coupla days ago that mentions Alison's shop in relation to the Main Street Arts & Crafts Festival.
But it also implies that it is Closed. Speaking of the "Crazy Woman Creek Band" it sez...
Manitz and Weimer said the common thread among the band, what brought them all together, was Alison Swan’s Canterbury Strings guitar shop in Hot Springs.
(Swan’s shop closed after she passed away last spring.)

Miss You, Alison.

You could still stop there and play guitar out front (There is actually a bench next door)...
See if anyone joins you. It is a Bar now.

NEW photo, 2017.
It seems that the Bourbon County Speakeasy spread into the Guitar shop.
I am sure that everyone remembers Alison. Still might be worth a stop if you are just cruising around.
