I have two different Os (a 6778LX and a 1778TX-4CS) and I've had the same problem with both of them when using the same leather strap fitted with Jim Dunlop strap locks.

When they're connected up, and I'm playing, I tend to get a weird buzzing sound coming from the bottom end of the guitar, particularly with notes on the B string. As soon as I disconnect the bottom end of the strap, the buzzing goes away.

I've tried switching the lock hardware over and that doesn't seem to have an effect. On my 4CS, I even unscrewed the female end of the lock on the guitar and swapped those over.

It doesn't seem to affect plugged in sound, as we discovered a couple of years back.

I find it really distracting when I'm playing, so I ended up buying a new strap for my 4CS and today I took the locks off my leather strap, which is in use on the 6778. Without the lock hardware, I'm not getting any buzzing now.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'd prefer to have the locks on, but for now, I'm content to play without them.

Stop using the Strap-locks.
That's the solution.

You can get these Rubber strap locks.
Like THESE
They are difficult to put on...
But they definitely will hold you strap in place.

I use felt, rubber or foam washers to ensure there is no room for vibrations.
